Hello, Vicky here. I'm a freelance book designer and illustrator based in the UK.
I have worked in publishing since graduating from the London College of Communication in 2005 for publishers such as Dorling Kindersley, Make Believe Ideas and Scholastic on a variety of non-fiction titles, specialising in illustrated, co-editional books.
When I'm not at my desk, I take much delight in long walks in the forest and countryside. Always accompanied by my dog Barley, our walks can often be great inspiration for my illustrations, be it the landscape or old buildings we may see.
In 2024 I completed Mossy's Big Step. A self-initiated passion project where I wrote, illustrated and designed a picture book for 3–6 year olds about courage.
I regularly take part in the illustration hashtags #CHILDHOODILLUSTRATED and #WALKTOSEE on instagram.
